"Let Em Talk" is out! I wanna tell you why this song is really important to me. A couple of years ago, I got together with my good mates and fellow artists Jake Sinclair and Luke Austen, and we wrote a bunch of songs. One of them was 'Plan B' - which has been streamed organically over 43,000 times since it was released a couple of months ago! Insane! Another song we wrote that same night was 'Let Em Talk'. Words can be so much more powerful than we give credit for. They can speak love, hate, truth, and lies. They can sway a situation by what we say, or what we omit. They can lift a person up, and they can tear a person down. The message behind this song is to ignore the noise and shine for who you are. People are going to say what they're gonna say no matter what you do, so you might as well just let 'em talk, and do what makes you happy. Let Em Talk came about really quickly and easily, and the lyrics and melody stayed pretty much the same for the recording as the day we wrote it. When it came to prepare for recording, I was worried the song was toooooo edgy, and would ruffle feathers or that people wouldn't like it. I started doubting myself, and I moved onto other projects. But every time I played these songs live at gigs, they got the biggest response with so many people telling me they loved the songs and the messages behind them, because it made them feel empowered. So I decided to follow my own advice. I asked a Melbourne based producer, Adrian Hannan to see what we could do with Let Em Talk. He loved the track. Adrian has worked with Vanessa Amorosi, Delta Goodrem, and Gabriella Cilmi, and he knew that the song called for big sassy production. I think he nailed it. Over the years, I've been knocked back, told I'm not good enough... That I'm generic. It has just made me want to prove them wrong. Those people are not my people. I'm grateful to have had some amazingly supportive and well-respected artists see something in me and provided opportunities for me to prove myself. “Natalie is an engaging performer and sings incredibly well live. She was nothing short of spectacular at WolfeFest and opening for us on our Queensland tour.” – Tom Wolfe, The Wolfe Brothers “Her range is incredible.” – Nick Wolfe, The Wolfe Brothers “She’s a little pocket rocket. Little, with a big voice!” – Adam Brand “Nat’s vocal and stage presence demands respect, and she gets it. I’ve never NOT seen her win over a crowd” – Travis Collins “The show she put on at Gympie was amazing, she sang the sh*t out of every song. Blew the roof off the stage, gave me goosebumps.” – Mark DiRuggiero, Director of VDM Fest I hope it inspires you to follow your dreams and to "Let Em Talk". So, let me know what YOU think! xx

Music is a huge part of why I am the person that I am today. I am working at a studio as a producer. I know that it is a great job, but I am currently struggling at it. Well, this is all that I can think of, but I got reminded of my intentions thanks to your blog. I remembered that I am in this for the music, and not for the fame and money that is attached to it.
