When the sun went down and the candles were lit by 20,000 attendees, the stage was illuminated with a carols spectacular hosted by Channel Nine’s Louise Momber and Michael Thompson and headlined by top selling Australian artist, Anthony Callea. Other special guests included Chris and Courtney Murphy, Natalie Pearson, Aviida, Robbie Anderson (The Voice Kids), the Variety Youth Choir and a host of other WA talent.
The evening finished with a bang - a fireworks spectacular over the Swan River.
Hey Everyone! I just want to share with you that my brand new EP of original songs is headed your way early in the new year <3 But in the meantime as a music lover... just like all of you... I've put together a collection of some of my favourite songs in acoustic form. I have been collecting and producing these tracks for a while now, so now its time for you to hear them. This album is called 'Under The Covers' and will feature my versions of tracks that inspire me by Kelsea Ballerini, Lady Antebellum, Dolly Parton,Jewel, Missy Higgins, Johnny Cash, The Cranberries and many more. Get it HERE! I received an email in October to say one of my songs had been Shortlisted by the judges of this year’s Australian Songwriting Contest.
"It took a long time for the decisions to be made, due to an extraordinarily high standard and a huge number of entries. In such a situation, you should be extremely proud to have achieved such a result." The Top 30 Finalists have been announced on the ASA Website, and I'm extremely excited to announce that "Strangers", a song I wrote with Michael Tan made Top 30 in the Country Category of the 36th National Songwriting Awards! I'm so excited, and extremely honoured to be on the list among some very well respected names in the Australian industry. The Top 10 Finalists will be announced at the National Songwriting Awards, which will be held in Sydney on Wednesday 14 December. This year a glamorous new location has been booked for the Awards – The Orion ‘Theatre of the Stars’ – in Campsie, NSW, where an incredible Wurlitzer Pipe Organ is housed within the Art Deco grandeur of the Great Room. The INXS songwriting team of Andrew Farriss and the late Michael Hutchence will be inducted into the Australian Songwriters Hall of Fame, with Jon Stevens (Noiseworks) performing 2 songs in their honour. Michael’s sister Christina will be flying out from LA to accept the award on his behalf, and Glenn A Baker will do the induction speech. After the Top 10 results of all Categories in the 36th Australian Songwriting Contest are revealed on the night, all successful contestants will be honoured on stage and the 1st Place Winners will perform. A successful Special Guest Artist will be interviewed about their songwriting experience, and perform live. The APRA/ASA Songwriter of the Year will be awarded $3,000 courtesy of APRA. One ASA Member will also receive a coveted Maton Guitar for outstanding work. With a bunch of Celebrities and Music Industry personnel attending and presenting the awards, the evening will be full of fun, interest, wonderful networking and priceless memory-making opportunities!
They say third time is a charm, but in the case of Natalie Pearson it only took a couple to get the job done. After making the long trip from Western Australia to Sydney for the the second time as a finalist in the Australian Independent Music Awards (AIMA's) she went home with the big prize of AIMA Best Country Artist in addition to top 5 finalist nods for other categories Music Video and Female Artist. Pearson has carved out a successful career around the Perth live music scene over the last decade and is now focused on growing her opportunities further afield within Australia and internationally.
"I guess if I have learned anything from this it's that I just have to stick to my guns and be persistent. It is lovely to be noticed and rewarded for the many years of hard work, but this is just one of the first big steps in my career and I realise that." - Natalie Pearson Pearson will be making the even longer pilgrimage from Perth to Tamworth in January where she is slated to perform at events including Festival favorite 'Country Music Cocktails' as one of the event's 'Future Stars'. With the latest single 'Chance At Love' helping her secure the AIMA the horizon is now clear for the release of her next single and her first EP entitled 'Long Time Coming' in February 2017. "I'm very mindful of the momentum that is building and it is definitely time for the record to see the light of day. After Tamworth when the dust settles, I'll finally get to share it with the world. I can't wait!" - Stated Pearson. Natalie Pearson - Nominated Finalist - COUNTRY, POP & VIDEOMusicoz presents Australian Independent Music Awards

Thank you so much to everyone who clicked play, left their lovely comments, or shared the clip, you're all rockstars <3 I've also had an incredible 300 new people follow my page - you guys are seriously the best, thank you! xx If you haven't seen it yet, you can view it here:www.smarturl.it/chanceatloveclip I just got back from NSW, where I had a promo photoshoot and filmed the video for the next single I will be releasing. It was a jam packed week, jumping straight off a red-eye flight from Perth on Monday morning, and straight into hair and makeup for two days of filming and photos. (Thank you under eye cream!). Day 2 was especially gruelling, as I had a 4.30am start and spent a chilly 10 hours on set, where the last scene had me going for a dip in the lake in my dress. So. Cold. After a much needed sleep, the next couple of days were a bit more relaxed. I had the pleasure of meeting up with the current #1 CMC Artist, Kirsty Lee Akers, and Aussie Idol / X Factor’s Hayley Jensen, where we wrote a killer song together, and had load of fun. I also worked on some new tracks in the studio in Sydney; jumped up to sing with talented country music duo NeillyRich at their gig; and after a bit of an unexpected hiccup, my team and I made an executive decision to re-shoot the video for ‘Chance at Love’ while in NSW. We sourced some props, found a cool location, sifted through my suitcase for something to wear, borrowed a hunky friend-of-a-friend to pretend to be my man for the day, and set the alarm for 4am. We squeezed a lot into 5 days... But oh, it was so worth it! I think you will totally love what we came up with. We’re hoping to have the first video out verrry soon, we've been waiting a long time for it to get here... so stay tuned for that! In the meantime, I have some videos up on YouTube that you can check out, and if you’re feeling extra awesome, please share with your friends or leave me some comments! I’ll be putting out a few more cover videos out over the next few months, so if you have any songs you reaaallly want to hear, let me know on my Facebook page -@NatPearsonMusic and I’ll see what I can do! Such a thrill to have the opportunity to support the Aussie music legends MENTAL AS ANYTHING at the Charles Hotel & the Ravenswood Hotel, with the JASON AYRES TRIO. So cool to see a bunch of artists who love what they do, continue to bring an amazing show to their fans. Thanks for having us!
What a thrill! I sang alongside JASON AYRES to open for the legend that is TEX PERKINS on his WA tour.
Three rockin’ shows at the Norfolk Hotel, The Charles Hotel and the Ravenswood Hotel. The crowd was awesome and they seemed to really enjoy my rendition of Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’. Such a good time, and Murray and Tex were a hoot!
Fantastic show last week at The Opal Bar and Lounge for the "Songwriter Sessions". Stunning performances by Chris Gibbs and Justine Roberts, and a HUGE thank you to Troy Nababan for accompanying me on guitar. It was a privilege to share the stage with talented musicians. Kudos to Amanda Canzurlo for bringing this brilliant format to the Perth Music Scene, and to everyone who came down to support and keep live music alive.
Were you there? I would LOVE to see any of your photos or videos - hashtag #natpearsonmusic or post to me direct on any social media platform - @NatPearsonMusic
My talented friend and band-mate, Mike Nayar and I joined forces on Tuesday 22nd March & 12th April at the Laneway Lounge to showcase our new music - both individually and together. It was a great turn out, and we had a great time performing songs to fresh ears, and to our loyal regular supporters. One of the crowd favourites was my latest release, 'Chance at Love', which if you didn't know already, was penned by Mr Mike Nayar! I know, amazing! More info on Mike can be found at www.MikeNayar.com We'll hopefully be back at the Laneway Lounge again soon! I had the fantastic opportunity to open for the very talented Alt-Country artist Jason Ayres, at The Ellington over the weekend.
It was a privilege to share my heart and soul through my songs, to show my vulnerability, and feel a connection with the audience at this incredible venue. The vibe was like no other, you could hear a pin drop. Troy, my guitarist was wonderful, and really brought the emotion out in my songs. The room was filled with love and support, and I had a few people tell me they were moved to tears. Possibly the biggest compliment I've ever received! Jason invited me up on stage with him to sing an impromptu duet of his song ''Waiting For Love". Watch a snippet here. I am so grateful for the road that life keeps paving for me, the opportunities that come my way, and the wonderful people I meet, who remind me why I love what I do. Thank you, forever, from the bottom of my heart. Congratulations to Jason Ayres on the launch of his 'River You Cry Tour'. You can still catch his other shows around Australia HERE. It was a pleasure to share this special moment with you, thank you for having faith in me. Chance at Love is #4 on the AMRAP Regional Charts!

My voice is going to feature in a movie scene, PLUS an album compilation of local and international artists with my track "Don't Ask Me This". Talented Musician / Producer, Justin Iemma and I worked on an acapella vocal track, that will be used for this eery scene. Check out "The Fenian - The Movie". "The scene, complete with a new soundtrack from producer Justin Iemma, featuring the vocal talents of Nat Pearson, will be released for preview before the end of the year." OH. Em.
